The unique dial pattern of the white birch forests surrounding the Grand Seiko Shizukuishi studio exquisitely complements the 9SA5 movement – a masterpiece of hi-beat efficiency. In 1998, Grand Seiko revolutionized watchmaking with its 9S movement; the 9SA5 is just as groundbreaking, featuring an increased 80-hour power reserve and a 15% thinner design for greater accuracy and durability.

This timepiece is part of the ‘Evolution 9’ or ‘Kyu’ collection, which focuses on creating watches with precision, durability, comfort and aesthetic excellence. The Japanese word ‘Kyu’ means both 9, the highest possible number, and 'ultimate', conveying the brand's goal of excellence.
